Maritime domain case (foam sealing floating plate)
The foam floating plate on the dock, sealed by ten solid nano polymer materials, has been working for 12 months a year, and has not encountered any problems or concerns during the three years of use.
1. Basic information
Unprotected foam floats may have a negative impact on the environment and wildlife. Debris, sunlight and chemicals can damage foam. Rodents and other creatures like to nest in foam, leading to more serious damage. As time goes on, foam will absorb water, making foam heavier and less buoyant. At present, the use of unsealed floating boards is prohibited in many places. The water body cleaning work shows that most of the collected debris is usually foam. Recently, during the cleaning of a lake, it was found that foam blocks accounted for at least 90% of the 170 tons of garbage collected.
2. Solution
The ten solid nano polymer material protective coating sprayed on EPS (becoming a closed foam) provides a comprehensive solution for environmental and maintenance problems caused by non encapsulation. Direct encapsulation means that there are no gaps that can store water and reduce buoyancy.
Floating plates can be constructed into any size or shape, and ten solid nano polymer materials provide seamless overall membranes, which are resistant to wear, impact, and chemical corrosion, and do not support organic growth.
3. Application results
